My Bio

Reiki is part of everyday life for me. That's what I learned from my teacher Wanja Twan. "Use Reiki first for your own health, then your family and then from there go to where there is a need with friends and neighbours."

By learning Reiki, chronic kidney disease that had plagued me for 10 years disappeared.  So profound was the healing experience that it was my dream to become a Reiki Master and in 1997 that dream came true.

Before Reiki, my work was as a documentary journalist working with a national Canadian TV production team in Toronto for 7 years.  My formal education is a degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia and then a post-graduate degree in Journalism from Carleton University in Ottawa.

I have travelled and taught reiki in Sweden, Poland, Ireland, Spain, England, France, Finland and of course Canada. My passion for teaching reiki and wellness on all levels has allowed me to meet and work with people from any diverse backgrounds.  My family background is Metis, which is a blend of French and  Aboriginal  culture.

Whenever someone asks me to teach reiki, a class is set up which is usually about once a month. Local farmer's markets, worshops and community events are wonderful opportunities to discuss and demonstrate the benefits of reiki.

Thank-you for taking the time to read this sharing of my story.  My Reiki practice is a way to honour my teacher, Wanja for all she has given me.  I am committed to helping anyone of any reiki lineage background learn more about the roots of reiki in Canada and the teachings of Mrs.Takata through my teacher Wanja. May the circle of gratitude continue to grow !
